Dr Eman Mahmoud is a Language and Literacy Education PhD graduate from United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Jordan and her Master’s Degree in English Curriculum and Instruction from UAEU.

Dr Mahmoud has more than 16 years of experience in English Language teaching in basic and tertiary education. She is a researcher and reviewer, and her research interests include L2 teaching and learning, reading instruction, reading for pleasure, writing, L2 assessment, task-based language assessment, culturally responsive education, learner autonomy, and social emotional learning among others.
