Niamh Allen is the Corporate Head of Multilingualism, Language and Literacy at GEMS Education, where she leads system-wide strategy across 47 schools to advance reading and language development. She is the architect of Read Like a GEM and GEMS of the World, frameworks that place fluency, vocabulary, multilingualism and reading for pleasure at the heart of school improvement.
With more than 25 years of international leadership experience, including her previous role as Country Director with the British Council, Niamh combines cognitive science, language acquisition research, and cultural insight to empower every child to develop their voice, confidence, and potential through reading.
